They dont fly off or have crappy parts. Just dont stand or sit to close to the kids while they r swinging. We loves these sabers. If you want to use the saber and not the battery during day hours, it also comes with a color sleve to use. BIG FUN. They cost a little more , but for $20 they are awsome. They are easy to put on and off so changing is easy.
The sabers cover up the front of the wiimote. Do not buy these if you are going to use with Clone Wars lightsaber duels. But at least you have a cool looking saber in your hand. They work great if you want to stand there and look cool while your character get their butt kicked because you cant make them move. It does not work. I am returning them.
Overall, they are still a pretty good product especially with the lighting effect. they look pretty neat and my son likes them although they are kinda heavy for him to hold. he's 5 and plays with them on his Lego star wars game, the reaction isn't that great since the attachments cover over the Wiimote sensors.
Sabres are not worth the money, too bulky and didn't work well with one duel game.
I would hate to see him on a wii fit. I keep telling him to get up have fun play the right way and get a little excercise while you are at it. So he finds them to heavy and not sensative for lazy sitting on butt way of playing.
They were very simple to put together and worked right away. Hubby on the other hand says they are to heavy and they are not sensative enough. These are really fun swords.
He likes to play his sword games sitting down in a chair and just flipping his wrist around. So this family gives the swords a 5 star for me and a 2 star for hubby so I rounded it up to 4 stars. I think they are alot of fun.
They make the sward wii games come to life and my little kids think it is really neat to see the swords light up and mover around, as long as they stay out of the way of the swing.
